Engagement session in Hanna park | Leslie + Wesley {Jacksonville and St.Augustine engagement & wedding photographer}
Leslie + Wesley (yes their names rhyme - how awesome is that!) did their engagement session in Hanna Park - we started out in the wooded area and then headed to the beach. They are such a beautiful couple inside out! I'm obsessed with Leslie's lace crop top and that flow-y skirt - such a perfect choice for this photoshoot!
How they met: Wesley went to high school with my college roommate, and she introduced us to one another our junior year of college. We did not "hit it off" until our senior year, and started dating right at the end of college. We both graduated and went our separate ways (him to Jacksonville for law school, me to Greenville, SC for a job) not knowing where the relationship would go from there. It didn't take long before we knew we wanted to be together, so we continued to work at our relationship through the distance. We were long distance for about a year and a half before we decided that we needed to be in the same town, so I found a job and moved to Jacksonville. We dated while Wesley finished law school, and shortly after he passed the bar exam he proposed!
How he proposed: We went to Statesboro, GA with some friends for the Georgia Southern football game (where we all went to college). Before the game we wanted to explore campus a little bit, so we started at a beautiful spot called Sweetheart Circle. We had one of our friends take a couple of pictures of us (just to document the day) and suddenly Wesley said, "Take one more" and turned and got on one knee and asked me to marry him.
